Grace Staehr – Board Member

Grace Staehr brings energy, innovation, and a multicultural perspective to her work with the York County Kids Board. Originally from Ecuador, Grace has called York, Nebraska, home since 2016, where she’s built a vibrant career in marketing, communications, and community development – while raising a young family and staying deeply engaged in local life.

In her role as Economic Development Coordinator at the York County Development Corporation (YCDC), Grace supports local business growth, workforce initiatives, and storytelling efforts that highlight what makes York County special. She’s passionate about strategy, technology, and the power of authentic communication to build stronger communities.

Before joining YCDC, Grace spent five years at York Dental Associates as a Marketing and Treatment Plan Coordinator, where she honed her skills in client service and business operations. In 2023, she launched her own photography and marketing business, reflecting her entrepreneurial drive and creative spirit.

Supporting children and families has always been close to my heart – especially those navigating the complexities of work, culture, and care. Through York County Kids, I’m able to give back to a community that has given me so much.

Grace holds certifications in Agile Project Management (Scrum Master) and Google Data Analytics and is bilingual in English and Spanish. She’s also experienced in photography and video production and often lends her skills to support nonprofit and community events.

Outside of work, Grace enjoys spending time with her husband, Jake, and their two children, Luca and Camila. You’ll often find them enjoying the outdoors with their two dogs, Buck and Pretty Boy Floyd. Grace is an avid runner and weightlifter currently training for two half marathons – a testament to her discipline and love for a good challenge.
