Alison North – Vice President
Born and raised in York, Alison North has deep roots in the community and a heart for service. A 1989 graduate of York High School, Alison has spent her life raising a family, building local connections, and volunteering across multiple community organizations. She and her husband Tony are the proud parents of six children and grandparents to three, and they take great joy in being involved in the York area they’ve long called home. Alison currently serves on the York Public Schools Board of Education, advocating for strong academic opportunities and student support systems. Her passion for early education and family well-being also led her to join the board of York County Kids, where she contributes her energy and insight into advancing high-quality childcare and early learning options across the county. Investing in early childhood is one of the smartest things we can do as a community. It supports families, builds stronger schools, and prepares kids for success long before entering a classroom. In addition to her role with YCK, Alison is involved in various civic organizations.
She is President of the Blue River Area Board of REALTORS, a York Chamber Ambassador, a 2016 graduate of Leadership York and past board member, a volunteer for CASA of York County, and a member of the LOSS Team. She has also served on the Chamber Board and was a longtime member of the York Rotary. When she’s not working or volunteering, Alison enjoys spending quality time with her children and grandchildren, cheering on the Huskers, and staying connected to her faith community at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York.
