Carol Olson – Board Member
Carol Olson brings decades of leadership, communication, and nonprofit expertise to the York County Kids board. With a career rooted in community impact and resource development, she is the founder and president of Carol Olson & Associates, LLC — a grant writing and fundraising consultancy that has helped secure over a million dollars in funding for organizations, municipalities, and businesses.
Carol’s passion for helping others succeed is reflected not only in her professional work but also in her extensive volunteer service. She served as General Chair of the Board of Directors for Midwestern Swimming, where she provided strategic oversight and leadership to one of the region’s largest youth swimming organizations. She’s also played key roles in public relations, development, and community programming throughout her career, including leadership positions with Marian High School, College of Saint Mary, and Prairie Life Fitness.
Her belief in the mission of York County Kids is both practical and personal.
Supporting early childhood care and education has a ripple effect — strengthening families, empowering providers, and building communities where everyone can thrive. I’m proud to be part of a board that’s moving the needle meaningfully.
Carol graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Gary, and family, riding horses, and tending to her barnyard menagerie.
